Thanks, Danny! I have mostly kept social media at a safe distance, but the experience connecting with other writers on Substack has been fantastic. So far, I'm finding Bluesky similarly fun.

Great issue, appreciate the links to the Bluesky starter packs. I recently joined Bluesky @margiewhiteleather.bsky.social because I heard that much of the higher ed community I'd followed on Twitter until 2 years ago was on Bluesky. My microblogging muscles are rusty, but so far it's great. My only fear is that it will make it harder to keep up with newsletters, which is where I'd shifted my online reading time.

Hey Margie! I share that fear. Having left my full-time job with the goal of writing more, I need to be careful. The idea is that I need more time reading books in order to write more deeply on these topics. Bluesky occasionally points me to awesome books and Sustacks I might not otherwise discover. but mostly it is jokes and hot takes. That's a lot of fun! And so, I'm trying to stick to my daily limit. I'll look for you when I log on for my hour this evening!
